International Representation for Antitrust Matters Around the World
The Williams Mullen Antitrust Group, working with our International Group, has significant experience representing clients in matters under the competition laws of many jurisdictions around the world. When needed, the Antitrust Group also coordinates such activities with local counsel abroad.
Some of our recent international antitrust matters have included the following:
- Coordinating antitrust approval for international transactions in the European Union, England, Germany, Turkey, Switzerland, Brazil and the Netherlands
- Representing a client in presenting evidence to the Japanese Fair Trade Commission
- Advising an energy company on the competition issues raised under South American antitrust law principles
- Certification of an export trading company under the Export Trading Company Act, to limit the potential antitrust risks associated with the client’s export activities
