Our team brings unique insights to our ability to represent clients in China, having assisted in the drafting of the 2005 revisions to China’s Company Law, the 2005 revisions to China’s Securities Law, China’s proposed Anti-Monopoly Law, proposed revisions to China’s Trademark Law, and China’s Venture Capital Enterprises regulations. Our attorneys have handled complex transactions involving all pertinent Chinese governmental agencies, such as the Ministry of Commerce, China Securities Regulatory Commission, China Customs and the National Reform and Development Commission. This work has included technology transfers, foreign exchange flows, real property transactions and intellectual property enforcement.
Williams Mullen attorneys were also instrumental helping to draft Vietnam’s Unified Investment Law and Unified Enterprise Law. We have advised U.S. and other international clients in their Indian business relationships, and Indian businesses in their U.S. relationships. In addition, we bring significant experience with dispute and arbitration matters, the World Trade Organization, international non-governmental organizations, and multilateral and plurilateral trade arrangements.
