Ashley W. Winsky
Ashley Winsky is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment and Litigation sections. Ms. Winsky focuses her practice on labor and employment litigation where she advises and represents employers in the areas of Title VII, age discrimination, fair labor standards, family and medical leave, the WARN Act, wrongful discharge, covenants not to compete, and other state and federal employment issues. Ms. Winsky assists employers in drafting contracts, policies, and handbooks and conducting training. Ms. Winsky has experience in labor relations, representing employers in unfair labor practice proceedings.
Ashley Winsky is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment and Litigation sections. Ms. Winsky is also involved in various commercial litigation matters. In particular, Ms. Winsky represents the local transit authority in matters related to casualty and workers’ compensation claims. In addition to her trial practice, Ms. Winsky has experience representing clients in administrative hearings, arbitration proceedings, and mediations.
Ms. Winsky is licensed to practice in Virginia and admitted before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia. She is an active member of the American and Virginia Bar Associations and assists in editing the American Bar Association’s legal treatises How to Take a Case Before the NLRB and The Developing Labor Law. Ms. Winsky is also an active member of CBDX, a division of the Central Business District Association (CBDA), an organization developed to promote business growth in the region.
Ms. Winsky received her Juris Doctor degree from George Mason University School of Law where she was an associate editor of the George Mason Civil Rights Law Journal. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
