Corporate Healthcare: Seeking an associate with 3 to 5 years experience in corporate healthcare, representation of hospitals, long term care facilities, physician groups and other healthcare providers. Advise providers with on formation, structural, contractual and regulatory health care issues. A working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and compliance matters is essential.
Maritime: Significant partner level experience focusing primarily on entities engaged in the marine industry, including admiralty and maritime litigation, corporate matters and transactions. MUST have portable book of business.
Securities/Corporate Associate: Seeking associate with 2 to 4 years experience in corporate and securities law. Experience (preferably large firm) in '33, '34 and '40 Act filings and compliance, including ability to manage smaller transactions and major portions of larger ones. Prefer experience representing public companies in securities compliance and corporate governance.

*NEW* Labor & Employment: Seeking associate with 2 to 3 years of Employment-specific experience to join the firm's Labor & Employment practice. Applicants should have litigation experience and be able to give general employment advice for management. Experience in representing clients with Title VII, Section 1981, ADA, FLSA, FMLA and employment discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge and retaliation claims is required. Additionally, experience in representing employers/managers accused of employment-related tort and contract claims as well as representing clients in restrictive employment covenant and OSHA cases would be particularly valuable. In addition to general litigation skills, a clerkship with a Federal District Court Judge and licensing in states other than North Carolina is a plus. The partners seek a lawyer who is willing to invest the time and effort to be able to take ownership over a project as if he or she were the sole in-house counsel.
Day-to-day focus will include client counseling, litigation support and active participation/exposure in client development opportunities. The associate will assume responsibility in a varied employment litigation practice before federal and state courts and administrative bodies. The associate will also be responsible for preparation and prosecution of substantive motions and position statements.
The successful candidate will have direct client contact, and direct contact with midlevel associate and partner who will provide active mentoring. As part of the team developing clients for the practice, the successful candidate will provide assistance to three other Labor & Employment partners. Real Estate Associate: Seeking associate with 5 to 6 years commercial real estate experience. Must have handled complex real estate financing transactions, development and sales work, leasing, construction, financing and real estate specialty work of various kinds. Land use and title claim litigation experience as plus.

Commercial Litigation Partner : Seeking partner with at least 10 years of commercial litigation experience in state and federal courts and the ability to attract and serve as lead trial counsel in such complex litigation as class actions, business tort claims, antitrust actions, securities litigation, financial services litigation and/or IP litigation. Must have portable book of business.
Corporate Partner: Seeking corporate/transactional partners with 10 plus years of practice experience. Some portable book of business and ability to leverage and/or grow it.
Financial Services Partner : Partner with significant commercial banking practice. Must have portable book of business, and be willing to market existing Williams, Mullen clients and contacts.
FTC Partner : Partner level experience in the consumer complaint/trade type issues that fall within the jurisdiction of the FTC. Ideal candidate will have worked at the Commission for some period of time, and have some portable business.
Government Contracts Partner : Practice should concentrate all aspects of government contracts law and litigation, including grants, co-operative agreements, the management of major government systems and programs, and the resolution of related claims and disputes. Real Estate Partner : Partner level with significant experience in all area of commercial real estate development to include acquiring, financing and development of commercial real estate. Must have portable book of business.

Communications: Junior level partner (or senior associate) with some portable business; experience in major communications policy and legislative matters a big plus; FCC regulatory, adjudicative, and transactional experience a must.
FERC Partner: Looking for partner with significant experience with wholesale electric market and transmission of energy in interstate commerce or interstate natural gas transportation service proceedings.
