Daniel L. Brawley
Dan Brawley has over 40 years of experience in large, complex cases. He concentrates his practice on the areas of construction law, commercial litigation and maritime law, as well as personal injury and property damage claims. His practice has significant concentration in business tort litigation including prosecution and defense of claims for breach of fiduciary duties, unfair and deceptive trade practices, fraud, constructive fraud, etc. including derivative actions, and has handled numerous cases before the North Carolina Business Court. Mr. Brawley has appeared before numerous state and federal courts. His practice also includes arbitration.

Mr. Brawley is licensed to practice in North Carolina. He is a member of the National Panel of Arbitrators, American Arbitration Association and the North Carolina Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Mr. Brawley has held numerous leadership positions in the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute, including chairman and multiple terms as a member of the board of governors. He also served as a member of the board of directors of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys and is a proctor of the Maritime Law Association of the United States.
Mr. Brawley received an A.B. degree from the University of North Carolina and a J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law. In 2006, Mr. Brawley was a visiting professor at Nicolas Copernicus University, Torun, Poland.
