Eric A. Hauser
Eric Hauser focuses on commercial real estate, public-private partnerships and banking law. Representing both developers and lenders, Mr. Hauser has extensive experience in structuring large scale mixed-use developments, shopping center transactions, development and construction loans, loan workouts and debt restructurings and foreclosures. He has represented a number of Economic Development Authorities in Hampton Roads, assisting in structuring major public/private projects. He also represents private developers in sophisticated land planning, creating condominiums and acquiring and developing land, as well as wetlands and Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act issues and zoning and land use matters. He regularly assists clients in negotiating ground leases and analyzing title and title insurance issues.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Hauser was a partner with Clark & Stant, which merged with Williams Mullen in 1999. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He is a former area representative and member of the board of governors of the Real Property Section of the Virginia State Bar. He also is a member of the American Bar Association, the National Association of Bond Lawyers, and the Construction Law Section of the Virginia State Bar.
Mr. Hauser's membership in other organizations includes the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Virginia Economic Developers Association. He is a member of the board of directors of the Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance and former executive board member of the Virginia Beach Central Business District Association
A graduate of the University of North Carolina, he received his law degree with honors from Washington & Lee University, where he was a member of the Law Review.
