The federal government continues to impose an increasing level of security on the handling of information and performance of contract requirements. From the access to secured facilities to the transfer of classified information to the performance of contract requirements by foreign individuals, the federal government maintains a strict regime of requirements governing information security. Williams Mullen’s government contracts attorneys have worked with government agencies, including the Defense Security Service, in addressing a variety of issues regarding security clearances and the handling of classified information.

Our representative transactions include: 

• Assisted client in obtaining facility clearance and security clearances for employees. Worked with Defense Security Service personnel to process clearance applications. 
• Counseled clients on requirements of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual, including application of facility clearance requirements and foreign ownership of contractor.
