Heath H. Galloway
Heath Galloway regularly counsels employers on a wide variety of state and federal laws applicable to the employment relationship. Mr. Galloway’s experience includes representing and counseling clients in regards to: the National Labor Relations Act; OSHA Regulations and Compliance; Restrictive Covenants; individual and collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act; the Family and Medical Leave Act; Title VII; ERISA; the Age Discrimination in Employment Act; and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Although he hopes to help the firm's clients avoid litigation, Mr. Galloway has vigorously represented employers in state and federal court as well as in administrative proceedings. Mr. Galloway's litigation experience includes the defense of wrongful discharge, discrimination and harassment claims under myriad federal and state employment laws; denial of benefits claims under ERISA; unfair labor practice charges; and fatality investigations by state and federal OSHA authorities. Mr. Galloway has also represented employers in restrictive covenant and business tort lawsuits.

Mr. Galloway has been named one of the top up-and-coming lawyers in the state by Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Stars magazine and is listed in Virginia Business magazine as one of Virginia’s “Legal Elite.” He is licensed to practice in Virginia and admitted before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Virginia Bar Association, where he is a member of the Young Lawyers Division and serves on the council of the Labor & Employment Section, and the Richmond Bar Association, where is a member of the Labor & Employment Section, the Young Lawyers Division and the Pro Bono Committee. In addition, Mr. Galloway is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys and the Society for Human Resource Managers.
Active in the community, Mr. Galloway is a member of the Richmond Chapter of the Washington & Lee Alumni Association and serves on the board of directors for Read to Them.
Mr. Galloway is the author of “Don't Forget What We’re Fighting For: Will the Fourth Amendment be a Casualty of the War on Terror?” 59 Washington & Lee Law Review, 921 and “Avoiding OSHA Liability for Someone Else's Violation,” Construction Executive magazine, March 2004.
Mr. Galloway received his bachelor of arts degree from Washington and Lee University. He received his juris doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Washington and Lee School of Law, where he was awarded the Washington and Lee Merit Scholarship. While in law school, Mr. Galloway was a member of the editorial board for the Washington and Lee Law Review and the Order of the Coif.
