Examining Responsibilities of an FFL Responsible Person at FIC 2022

Williams Mullen’s Firearms Industry Group and Orchid LLC announce industry attorneys and federal agency personnel will examine the responsibilities of an FFL “Responsible Person” at the 2022 Firearms Industry Conference (FIC), to be held in Atlanta on April 25–27. Compliance professionals will lead educational sessions that dive beyond the definition of an “RP” and examine the role’s responsibilities, best practices, and associated personal and professional risks.

Attending firearms law attorneys and FIC 2022 sessions include:

“The firearms industry is constantly evolving with new laws and regulations,” said Chuck James, partner and co-chair of Williams Mullen’s Firearms Industry Group. “To be successful as an FFL ‘Responsible Person,’ an individual must not only be adept at addressing compliance changes, but also the impact of such changes on the legal entity itself. One of our goals at FIC this year is to help professionals become more confident and more successful in their role as a ‘Responsible Person.’”

The 2022 FIC event will be held April 21–27, beginning with a new, two-day virtual educational series, FIC On-Air™. The conference will continue in-person with pre-con FIC workshops on April 25, followed by the main event.

Registration and sponsorships for FIC 2022 are open now at orchidadvisors.com/FIC. A portion of all ticket sales and sponsorships will be donated to Project ChildSafe.
