Former Virginia Delegate Dave Albo Officially Joins Williams Mullen
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Dave Albo, a 24-year veteran of the Virginia House of Delegates, officially joined the firm. In April 2017, Mr. Albo announced he was retiring at the end of his term and, in May, Williams Mullen announced his decision to join the firm. He retired from the Virginia House of Delegates on Nov. 7, 2017.
Mr. Albo joins Williams Mullen’s Government Relations group, led by Reggie Jones, which has decades of experience advocating for businesses, associations and individuals at the state and local levels and is repeatedly rated by Best Lawyers® as a “Best Law Firm” for Government Relations in both Richmond and Raleigh. Mr. Albo will represent corporations, businesses, trade associations and public entities before Virginia’s executive branch, legislative branch and state agencies on all aspects of government relations, including legislative advocacy, business development, government contracting and regulatory matters.**
He will also maintain his robust state and federal criminal and traffic offense practice, where for more than 30 years he has assisted individuals facing serious charges ranging from white collar felony fraud/embezzlement offenses to traffic offenses, such as DUIs or Reckless Driving.

** Dave retired from the Virginia General Assembly on 11/7/17. Under Va. Code Ann. § 30-103, Dave may not communicate for compensation with any member of the Virginia General Assembly or any employee of the Virginia Legislative Branch for one year following his retirement. Dave is permitted to lobby any member or employee of the Executive Branch of the Commonwealth of Virginia and to represent clients and appear before Virginia trial and appellate courts.
