Jeffrey D. Chadwick
Jeff Chadwick focuses his practice on complex estate planning and trust administration. He regularly counsels individuals and families on a wide variety of issues, including business formation and structuring, wealth transfer planning and preservation, disputes with taxing authorities, and planned charitable giving. Specifically, Mr. Chadwick works with clients to design revocable and irrevocable trusts, establish family limited partnerships, and draft shareholder agreements for closely held businesses. He also assists 501(c)(3) and other tax-exempt organizations with entity formation, tax-exempt filing, and general compliance matters.

Mr. Chadwick is a frequent speaker at tax and estate planning seminars attended by the firm’s fiduciary, wealth advisory, and CPA clients. He is also the author of numerous articles that have appeared in estate planning publications and law reviews. He is licensed to practice in Virginia and is a member of the Virginia and Richmond Bar Associations.
Mr. Chadwick received his juris doctor degree from the University of Richmond School of Law, summa cum laude, where he was a John Marshall Scholar and a member of the McNeill Law Society. While in law school, Mr. Chadwick clerked for the Hon. Henry E. Hudson of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He also served as Managing Editor of the University of Richmond Law Review, received first place in the 2008 Walter Scott McNeill Legal Writing Competition, and earned CALI Book Awards in Federal Income Taxation, Estate and Gift Taxation, Estate Planning, and Corporations, among other courses. He received his bachelor of science degree, magna cum laude, from Baylor University.
