Katherine Thornton is an Associate with the Corporate Law team with a focus on energy and environmental infrastructure development, project finance and general business. She received her J.D. in May 2011 from Vanderbilt University Law School. While in law school, Ms. Thornton participated in the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment & Technology Law, Women Law Students Association, and Mock Trial.

Ms. Thornton received her Master of Business degree from the Owen Graduate School of Management in May 2011 and her Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Science and Engineering, with a minor in Political Science, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in June 2007. Ms. Thornton worked previously at Williams Mullen as a summer associate in 2009 and 2010. She also interned at the International Humanity Foundation in San Diego, CA, where she conducted legal research, and at Goodrich Aerostructures Corp.
