Helping Those in Need
For attorneys, it is short-sighted not to take the opportunity to help those who are in need of our help but cannot afford it.”
Many years ago, Jack Marin got involved with helping Marines and their families at Camp LeJeune with fundraising for various needs. Marin described the Marines as having the most admirable yet most difficult job in the world and that helping them was just part of being an American. “Who wouldn’t take that opportunity?” He now serves on the board of directors of Hope for the Warriors. He has reviewed and drafted contracts for the organization and worked on its Warrior Wish and Immediate Needs programs. Jack has also been instrumental in coordinating the firm’s pro bono efforts throughout North Carolina. He witnesses first hand the strong commitment that Williams Mullen and all of its attorneys have to pro bono work.
Jack Marin focuses his practice on sports law. He acts as general counsel to the National Basketball Retired Players Association. Prior to law school, Mr. Marin enjoyed a distinguished, 11-year career in the National Basketball Association.
