11.09.2015 Allison Domson Selected as Next Chair of Williams Mullen’s Diversity Committee

Effective Nov. 1, Allison Domson, a Partner in Williams Mullen’s Financial Services Practice Group, has assumed the role of Chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee. The overall goal of the Diversity Committee is to further Williams Mullen’s corporate culture as one of inclusion – at every level and in every aspect of the firm. Under Ms. Domson’s leadership, the Diversity Committee will continue to recommend and implement strategies and practices consistent with the firm’s commitment to diversity in the legal profession and in the community in general.

“A diverse work environment is so important to our culture and continued growth at Williams Mullen,” Ms. Domson said. “I’m very excited to take on this new role and help our firm, our clients and our communities foster and maintain a diverse environment.”

Ms. Domson replaces Dave Dallas, who chaired the committee from the Charlottesville office from 2010-2015. The committee consists of both attorneys and professional staff and includes six members of the firm’s board of directors. In addition, the committee includes three affinity groups that actively support the professional development and success of diverse attorneys: the Attorneys of Color, the LGBT Initiative and the Women’s Initiative.

“The Diversity Committee plays a very important role in promoting and supporting an inclusive work environment at Williams Mullen, which is essential to our success,” Williams Mullen President and CEO Woody Fowler said. “I’m confident Allison’s vision and commitment make her the right choice to lead the committee going forward.”

Ms. Domson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and her Juris Doctor degree from the George Mason University School of Law. She was named a “Rising Star” by Virginia Super Lawyers magazine from 2009-2014 and has been recognized as one of “The Best Lawyers in America” for Real Estate Law by Best Lawyers. In September, she was one of three Williams Mullen attorneys named to CREW Richmond’s Top 25 Women to Watch
