09.10.2008 Amy G. Marino Joins Williams Mullen VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — Williams Mullen announces that Amy G. Marino has joined its Intellectual Property Practice as an associate in the Virginia Beach, VA office. Amy Marino focuses her practice on counseling clients on copyright and trademark registration, clearance and licensing rights and representing clients before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and Trademark Trial and Appeal Board in responding to office actions, opposition, cancellation and other proceedings. She represents clients in state and federal courts, litigating cases involving copyright and trademark infringement, trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, false advertising and various other contract and business tort claims. She also negotiates and drafts music related agreements, including distribution, management, recording, ownership split, publishing, sponsorship and other licensing agreements. Ms. Marino also does pro bono work such as counseling companies on protection of their intellectual property assets, providing copyright and entertainment law advice and giving seminars to music centers in Virginia.

Ms. Marino is a member of the American and Virginia bar associations and the Copyright Society of the U.S.A. She is also a member of the board of the Greater Richmond Intellectual Property Law Association. She is admitted to practice in Virginia state and federal courts.

Ms. Marino received her B.A. from Oberlin College and Conservatory and her juris doctor from Pepperdine School of Law.
