07.31.2008 Charles E. James, Jr. Joins Williams Mullen in Richmond Williams Mullen announced today that litigation attorney Chuck James has joined the firm as a partner in the Richmond, VA office. Chuck focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, white collar criminal defense, government investigations, corporate compliance, and internal investigations. He also counsels and supports clients regarding state and federal grand jury and internal investigations. Prior to joining Williams Mullen, Mr. James was a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia's Richmond and Alexandria Divisions and the Department of Justice's Criminal Division, Washington, D.C. Mr. James also brings appellate experience to Williams Mullen, having briefed and argued numerous cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit dealing with constitutional issues stemming from white collar, immigration, violent crime and narcotics cases.

Mr. James is admitted to practice in Virginia and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Mr. James received his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 1999 and his B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1996.
