12.01.2009 U.S. Climate Change Policy & Carbon Finance Update On Dec. 7, 2009, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued an endangerment finding for emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) that states the emissions may reasonably be anticipated to endanger public health and welfare. This enables EPA to promulgate new rules and regulations under the Clean Air Act to limit GHG emissions from vehicles, as well as stationary sources such as electric generating power plants and industrial sector facilities.
