The Virginian-Pilot: David Burton Discusses Role as King Neptune

This year, David Burton is serving as King Neptune XLV for Virginia Beach's 45th annual Neptune Festival. The festival, which features events throughout the year, culminates with the Boardwalk Weekend Sept. 28-30. Recently, David sat down with The Virginian-Pilot to discuss his role as King Neptune over the past several months.

“Each Neptune court serves as ambassadors for Virginia Beach, and I enjoy the interaction with the various citizens and interest groups in the city,” Burton said. “It’s an honor to be king.”
