01.18.2011 Williams Mullen Announces the Addition of Eight Attorneys Williams Mullen announced today that eight associates have joined the firm in four of its offices. Carice G. Rice has joined the firm’s Raleigh, N.C. office. Alison S. McGeary has joined the office located in Research Triangle Park, N.C. Leeron Avnery, William P. Dickinson, III, Steven P. Gould and Edward R. Turnbull will practice from the firm’s Richmond, VA office. Sarah K. McConaughy and Lauren M. Turner will be seated in the firm’s Virginia Beach, VA location.

Leeron Avnery is an associate in the firm’s Business & Corporate Section. Her practice focuses on general business matters, with emphasis on corporate finance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity financing. She received a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Yale University and her juris doctor degree from the College of William & Mary School of Law.

William P. Dickinson, III is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Section, where he focuses his practice on general intellectual property matters, such as licensing and intellectual property due diligence. He earned a bachelor of arts degree from Wake Forest University and a juris doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.

Steven P. Gould is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Section. He focuses his practice on general litigation matters, with emphasis on commercial litigation, consumer class actions, business torts and products liability. He received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his juris doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Sarah K. McConaughy is an associate in the Litigation Section, where she focuses her practice on general litigation matters, with emphasis on civil, construction and commercial litigation. Ms. McConaughy received bachelor of arts and bachelor of science degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a juris doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Alison S. McGeary is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property and Patent sections. Ms. McGeary focuses her practice on general intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights and litigation. She earned a bachelor of science degree from Northwestern University and a juris doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.

Carice G. Rice is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Section, where she focuses her practice on general litigation matters, including commercial litigation, financial services litigation, and contract disputes. She earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a juris doctor degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law.

Edward R. Turnbull is an associate in the firm’s Business & Corporate Section. Mr. Turnbull focuses his practice on general business and corporate matters, with special emphasis on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private equity, secured lending and commercial transactions. He received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Virginia and a juris doctor degree from the College of Williams & Mary School of Law.

Lauren M. Turner is an associate in the firm’s Business & Corporate Section. Ms. Turner focuses her practice on general business matters, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and securities. She earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from Virginia Tech and a juris doctor degree from Boston University School of Law.
