09.29.2009 Williams Mullen Attorney Aaron Spencer Named 2009 Triangle Mover & Shaker by Business Leader Magazine Williams Mullen announced today that attorney Aaron G. Spencer was named one of the 2009 Triangle “Movers & Shakers” by Business Leader magazine. The award honors individuals who have made a positive impact within their company and the community. Winners must either be an executive or an up-and-coming leader within the company.

“I am honored to have been selected as a Triangle ‘Mover & Shaker.’ The attorneys at Williams Mullen have established a long history of commitment to and investment in our community, and I am proud to continue that tradition,” said Spencer.

Keith Kapp, managing partner of Williams Mullen’s Raleigh office, nominated Mr. Spencer for the honor.

Mr. Spencer focuses his practice on corporate transactional law, including corporate finance, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, entity formation, tax and executive compensation. He has extensive experience negotiating and drafting contracts and representing public and private companies of all sizes with their corporate transactional needs.

Mr. Spencer is licensed to practice in North Carolina. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Business Law Section, the Business Law Section of the North Carolina Bankers Association, the Leadership Raleigh Alumni Association, the Licensing Executive Society and the Association for Corporate Growth. Mr. Spencer also does pro bono work for North Carolina Special Olympics. In 2008, Mr. Spencer was named one of North Carolina’s “Legal Elite Young Guns” by Business North Carolina magazine.

Mr. Spencer received his bachelor of science from Oklahoma State University in 1996 and his juris doctor from the Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1999.
