11.12.2015 Williams Mullen Supports 17th Annual Southeast BIO Investor & Partnering Forum

RALEIGH, NC (Nov. 12, 2015) – Williams Mullen is proud to be a sponsor of the Southeast BIO Investor & Partnering Forum, supporting life science companies across the Southeast region of the United States. The Forum, now in its 17th year, works to advance biopharmaceutical, medical technology, agricultural biotechnology and other life science companies, from ideas at the research stage to early-stage and more mature start-up companies.

Recognized as the Southeast region's premier life sciences and medical technology investor conference, this event connects emerging companies with potential investors and partners in a forum that provides meaningful networking opportunities. Southeast BIO's (SEBIO) past presenting companies have raised more than $2.5 billion collectively in private and public funding since the inaugural conference in 1999.

The event is expected to draw nearly 350 attendees, including investors representing more than 30 regional and national venture funds. The SEBIO Investor & Partnering Forum also draws representatives from the region's top research universities and institutes, features an online partnering system to help conference attendees arrange meetings with one another and offers investors the opportunity to hear from senior business development executives of major pharmaceutical/biotechnology and medical device companies who are invited to present their strategic partnering goals.

“We are pleased to be an SEBIO sponsor. The Investor & Partnering Forum provides such an important platform for regional companies to launch and grow – and we are proud to help make that growth happen,” said Rob Tyler, Partner at Williams Mullen. “The collegial atmosphere of this conference, along with the excellent business opportunities it provides make it one of the most valuable meetings in the region every year.”

The 17th Annual Southeast BIO Investor & Partnering Forum is currently taking place, November 11-13th, 2015 at the Belmond Charleston Place in Charleston, South Carolina. For more information please visit http://southeastbio.org/investorforum/2015.
