04.27.2015 Williams Mullen Welcomes Charlottesville Land Use Planner Ashley Cooper Davies

Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that experienced land use and zoning consultant Ashley Cooper Davies has joined the firm as a non-attorney professional. As a Land Use Planner, she will work with the firm’s land use attorneys to assist clients with all aspects of the planning, zoning, and development process, including research and due diligence, facilitating community meetings and outreach, preparing application materials, and working closely with local planning and zoning staff in the offices of the various localities.

Ms. Cooper Davies has an in-depth knowledge of zoning regulations and the land use approval process. Her background includes work as a land use consultant to the private and public sector. She previously worked as a Zoning Administrator and Neighborhood Planner for the City of Charlottesville and as the Director of Urban Development for Atwood Architects.

“We are excited to have Ashley join our team,” said Valerie Long, Chair of Williams Mullen's Land Use practice. “Her background in planning for both the private and public sector brings an additional skill set to support our thriving land use and zoning practice.”

Ms. Cooper Davies earned a B.A. in Architectural History and a Masters of Urban Planning with a concentration in Preservation from the University of Virginia. She is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners.
