Williams Mullen Welcomes Health Care Associate Dorothy H. Murphy

Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that health care attorney Dorothy H. “DeeDee” Murphy has joined the firm as an Associate in the Raleigh office.

DeeDee Murphy has several years’ experience as a health care attorney and consultant. She concentrates her practice on health care regulatory compliance, Certificate of Need law, administrative law, and regulatory law. She has significant hands-on experience assisting health care providers with strategic planning and regulatory compliance concerns, as well as matters involving Certificates of Need. DeeDee can also advise health care providers on transactional, real estate, and general contract matters.

Before joining Williams Mullen, DeeDee was a contract attorney for New Hanover Regional Medical Center, an acute care hospital in Wilmington, North Carolina. Prior to that, she was a senior consultant at Ascendient Healthcare Advisors. DeeDee earned a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina School of Public Health as well as a J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law. She also earned a B.A. in Psychology and Political Science, with highest distinction, from the University of North Carolina.
