Ashley Cooper Davies has a broad background in urban planning, land use, and public sector planning. She supports Williams Mullen’s land use practice by helping clients with land use strategies and solutions, including rezonings, special use permits, site plans, subdivisions, and analysis of real estate development opportunities and constraints. Working with the firm’s land use attorneys, she assists clients with all aspects of the planning, zoning, and development process, including research and due diligence, facilitating community meetings and outreach, preparing application materials, and working closely with local planning and zoning staff in the offices of the various localities.

Ashley has an in-depth knowledge of zoning regulations and the land use approval process. Her background includes work as a land use consultant to the private and public sector. She previously worked as a Zoning Administrator and Neighborhood Planner for the City of Charlottesville and as the Director of Urban Development for Atwood Architects.

Ashley earned a B.A. in Architectural History and a Masters of Urban Planning with a concentration in Preservation from the University of Virginia.
