Kate Helin is an associate in Williams Mullen’s Business & Corporate practice. Kate focuses her practice on corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, entity formation and other commercial transactions.

Kate also assists clients seeking to prevent, detect and respond to data breaches. She helps clients draft and review privacy and cybersecurity policies and maintain compliance with cybersecurity reporting requirements.

Kate is proficient in Spanish. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law. She was a Williams Mullen summer associate in 2015.

Prior to law school, Kate spent three years as a senior analyst at RGS Associates, Inc., where she worked in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Department of the Navy. She received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies, magna cum laude, from American University.
