Robby Lawson is a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Real Property Law (Business, Commercial and Industrial Transactions). His practice focuses on all aspects and types of commercial real estate, including buyer and seller representation in real estate purchases; borrower and lender representation in commercial loans; commercial lease negotiation, drafting, evictions and collections; condominium law; easements; land development; and commercial foreclosures.

Committed to enhancing the Raleigh community, Mr. Lawson volunteers with several community organizations. Currently, he is serving his third year on the board and as president of Capital City Clauses, Inc. (the host of the annual Jingle in July, the annual NBC-17 Stock the Sled Toy Drive, and the annual Jingle Ball benefitting the Salvation Army of Wake County’s Christmas Cheer Program). In 2012, the Capital City Clauses raised over 6,000 toys which benefited local Wake County children. Mr. Lawson volunteers for the Downtown Raleigh Alliance’s Annual Downtown Raleigh Home Tour, where he has served as Chairperson of the Home Tour for the past two years (2011 and 2012). Mr. Lawson also serves on the board of his homeowner’s association where he has served as president since 2010.

Mr. Lawson is currently a participant in the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Raleigh program where he is expected in graduate in 2013. In 2012, Mr. Lawson graduated from the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s Emerging Leaders program.

In 2013, Mr. Lawson was elected to the Business North Carolina “Legal Elite Hall of Fame” for Real Estate, obtaining the highest number of votes in the State of North Carolina in the Real Estate category. Mr. Lawson had been a past “Legal Elite” winner for Real Estate in 2011 and 2012. Mr. Lawson was also awarded the “Legal Elite” distinction for Young Guns in 2012 and 2013. Mr. Lawson has been recognized as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in 2012 and 2013. In addition, Triangle Business Leader presented Mr. Lawson the “Mover & Shakers” Award in 2011.

Mr. Lawson received his B.A. from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law where he was Student Bar Association President, an executive member of the Moot Court Board, and Chief Justice of Phi Alpha Delta. He also received his M.B.A from Wake Forest University Babcock Graduate School of Management, where he served as an executive member on the Student Government Association
