Preston Lloyd focuses his practice on general commercial real estate transactions, including the acquisition, sale, leasing and financing of commercial real estate and matters related to land use. His experience includes matters involving conditional zoning, variances, permitting and local economic development incentives. He also has experience in the representation of regional and national developers in connection with the acquisition, development and construction of multi-family housing intended to qualify for federal low-income housing tax credits.

Mr. Lloyd is admitted in all state courts in Virginia and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia. He is a member of the Virginia Bar Association and the Richmond Bar Association. In addition, Mr. Lloyd is a member of the Urban Land Institute of Richmond.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lloyd served as summer law clerk in the Norfolk Circuit Court and as a Governor’s Fellow in the Office of Governor Mark R. Warner. Mr. Lloyd received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Lloyd served as chief justice of the William Minor Lile Moot Court Board. He graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in politics and history from the University of Virginia.
