Advocating Liberty for All
Seeing worry turn to relief on the faces of these pro bono clients is very rewarding.”
On the evening of the third Monday of every month, joined by fellow attorneys, Bob Redmond oversees case intakes at the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s legal aid clinic. Those few hours are just the beginning of many Bob spends each month helping to collect unpaid wages, mitigate contract damages, obtain green cards, combat erroneous findings of unlawful status, and reunite families for Hispanic Chamber clients.
Pro bono attorneys have never missed a clinic since Bob spearheaded the program in early 2004. Averaging around 30 clients at each session, more than 1500 clients have benefited from counsel on a gratis basis. In 2008, Bob received the prestigious Pro Bono Award from the Richmond Bar Association for his tireless contribution and leadership. The accomplished mass tort and products liability attorney has also taught immigration law at the League of Women Voters and the University of Richmond Law School.
