Reuben Clark regularly handles complex commercial real estate matters, primarily in the development, finance and leasing areas. Apart from representing private developers and companies in private sector activity, he has substantial experience representing non-profit organizations in public/private ventures. More recently, due to a significant decrease in transactional activity, he has been engaged in a number of work-out matters, including participation investment disputes.

More recently, due to a significant decrease in transactional activity, he has been engaged in a number of work-out matters, including participation investment disputes.
Mr. Clark has over 30 years of experience as a lawyer, and before coming to North Carolina in 1988, practiced in both Delaware and Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Business Law and Real Property Sections of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the American Bar Association.
Mr. Clark has been named in the Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, and is recognized as one of Business North Carolina magazine’s “Legal Elite.” He is a recipient of the Jefferson Fordham Human Rights Award, and as a legal service attorney, was named a Reginald Heber Smith Fellow. Martindale Hubbell has rated Mr. Clark an AV attorney, its highest rating available.
Mr. Clark is active as an officer of the Southern Africa Legal Services Foundation. This next fall, he will serve as president of that organization. Since 1978, the organization has provided critical monetary support for law reform in southern Africa, including South Africa and Zimbabwe. For the past five years, Mr. Clark also served on the board of directors of the Triangle Area Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Mr. Clark received an A.B. from Stanford University and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.
