Randolph H. Lickey

Randy Lickey is chairman of the Corporate Section at Williams Mullen. His practice includes representing and advising business clients on corporate, business and transactional matters, including organizational and structuring issues, corporate governance, commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions and other complex business transactions. He also has significant experience in corporate acquisitions, reorganizations and divestitures, including mergers, share exchanges, divisive reorganizations, and recapitalizations. Mr. Lickey also provides clients with solutions in complex ventures and transactions involving partnerships, limited liability companies and joint ventures.

Having knowledge of both the business and tax aspects pertaining to such ventures, he is able to assist clients in solving the many complicated issues which can arise in structuring these entities in order to achieve their desired business goals and objectives.

Mr. Lickey is a member of the American, Virginia, North Carolina and Richmond bar associations and has been active on various bar committees. Mr. Lickey participates in numerous civic and community organizations, including the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce where he serves on the board of directors as a member of the executive committee and as general counsel. He is a past chair of the Henrico Business Council for the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, a past district governor for Rotary International and a past president of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Metro Richmond. Currently, Mr. Lickey is a member of the Rotary Club of the Capital City.  He is a graduate of Leadership Metro Richmond. Mr. Lickey has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America. Martindale Hubbell has rated him an AV attorney, its highest rating available. 

Mr. Lickey joined Williams Mullen in 1981 following his graduation from the University of Virginia School of Law. Upon graduation, he was inducted into The Order of the Coif in recognition of his high academic achievements. He holds a bachelor of science degree, with honors, from Virginia Commonwealth University.
