Reba Mendoza

Reba Mendoza is an Associate with the Labor & Employment team where she focuses her practice on the areas of Title VII, age discrimination, fair labor standards, family and medical leave, the WARN Act, wrongful discharge, covenants not to compete, employee handbooks and other state and federal employment issues, as well as general employment advice. She received her J.D. in 2011 from the University of Virginia School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Mendoza was a recipient of the Virginia Law Scholarship; on the Article Review Board for the Journal of Social Policy & the Law; and was an active member of the Black Law Students Association, serving as Secretary from March 2009 to March 2010.

Ms. Mendoza received her M.A. degree from University of Georgia in Anthropology in 2007. At the University of Georgia, she was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Academic Honor Society; a reviewer for the Biological and Environmental Anthropology online journal; and a member of Graduate and Professional Scholars. Ms. Mendoza earned her B.A. in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy from Duke University in 2005. While an undergraduate, she advised students for LEAD and the political relations representative for the Black Student Alliance.

Ms. Mendoza worked previously at Williams Mullen as a summer associate in 2010. She served as a teacher’s assistant at the University of Georgia, an administrative assistant at The College of William & Mary, and a research assistant at the University of Virginia.
