Sandy T. Tucker
Sandy Tucker focuses his practice on franchise litigation matters and has represented franchisor companies in litigation throughout Virginia and North Carolina, as well as other east coast jurisdictions. Franchisor clients represented include those in the hospitality, wine and beer, automotive, automotive product, restaurant, educational services, employment services, hair salon and service, janitorial, women's clothing, construction, internet services and other industries.

Mr. Tucker is an active participant in the International Franchise Association, where he currently serves as a member of its Legal-Legislative Committee and where he formerly served as a member of its Supplier Advisory Board, Membership Committee and Legal Symposium Task Force. He organized and sponsored local IFA meetings in Richmond, Virginia and Raleigh, North Carolina for several years. Mr. Tucker has been a presenter at several IFA Legal Symposia and at the ABA Forum on Franchising Annual Meeting, and he has published articles in the ABA Franchising Law Journal and the IFA's Franchising World magazine. He was named a “Super Lawyer” for Franchise/Dealership by Virginia Super Lawyers magazine and listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Franchise Law. In addition, Martindale Hubbell has ranked Mr. Tucker an AV attorney, its highest rating available.
Mr. Tucker is a member of the Forum on Franchising of the American Bar Association, the Antitrust, Franchise and Trade Regulation Section of the Virginia State Bar, the Litigation Sections of the American Bar Association and the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Bar Association, the Richmond Bar Association, and the Chesterfield-Colonial Heights Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of North Carolina, as well as in the U. S. Court of Federal Claims and the U. S. Court of Military Appeals.
Mr. Tucker serves as immediate past chairman of the board of directors for the Virginia College Fund, a nonprofit Virginia corporation established to support a group of independent colleges in the Commonwealth. In 2005, Mr. Tucker was appointed to a commission studying the future of Virginia’s judicial system, Virginia Courts in the 21st Century: To Benefit All, To Exclude None.
Mr. Tucker received his juris doctor and bachelor of arts degrees from the University of Richmond, where he was editor-in-chief of the University of Richmond Law Review, a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, the McNeill Society and Outstanding Graduate of Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. Following his graduation from law school, Mr. Tucker served four years in the U.S. Army as a Captain in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps.
