Wyatt Beazley's practice concentrates on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and health care law. Mr. Beazley's transactional experience includes advising public and private clients on structuring, negotiating and implementing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and reorganizations.
Wyatt Beazley's practice concentrates on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and health care law. Mr. Beazley's transactional experience includes advising public and private clients on structuring, negotiating and implementing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and reorganizations.
Mr. Beazley’s corporate practice is focused on the representation of start-up and emerging businesses, as well as more established closely-held and family businesses, with respect to strategic business planning, corporate governance, choice-of-entity, debt and equity financing, and shareholder disputes. Mr. Beazley is also actively involved in the firm's Business Succession Planning team. Mr. Beazley's health care practice is focused on the representation of medical groups, hospitals and other health care providers. His experience includes advising hospitals on the development of joint ventures and advising medical groups on group organizational issues, mergers/affiliation, physician buy-in/buy-out structures, and the development of ancillary services. His experience also includes advising clients on the development of physician networks, certificate of public need law, and compliance with various state and federal laws and regulations (including, but not limited to, fraud and abuse issues and physician self-referral issues).
Mr. Beazley received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Virginia in 1989 and his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Richmond School of Law in 1992. While in law school, he was the associate editor of the University of Richmond Law Review (1991-92) and a member of the McNeill Law Society. He also received the American Jurisprudence Awards for having the highest grades in contracts and creditors' rights.
Mr. Beazley has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America, recognized by Virginia Business magazine as one of the “Legal Elite,” and named one of the top up-and-coming lawyers in the state by Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Stars magazine. In addition, Martindale Hubbell has rated Mr. Beazley an AV attorney, its highest rating available. He practices in the firm’s Richmond, Virginia office and has been a member of the firm since 1992. Mr. Beazley is a member of the Richmond and Virginia bar associations and the Virginia State Bar. He served as the chairman of the VBA’s Young Lawyer Division, Minority Recruitment Committee for the Richmond area from 1995 to 1999. He currently serves on the board of directors of the YMCA of Greater Richmond and for the Hospital Hospitality House. Mr. Beazley is a member of Williams Mullen's board of directors.
