Fundamentals of Firearms Law Speaking Engagement 03.19.2014 12:00pm

“Fundamentals of Firearms Law” will provide participants a general overview of the structure of federal, state, and local firearms laws in the United States, including the National Firearms Act, the Gun Control Act of 1968, and state and local laws regulating the sale and possession of firearms.  We will also discuss Second Amendment implications as they interplay with existing statutes and regulations.  With an emphasis on practical advice that counsel would need to provide to clients, the CLE will discuss numerous hypothetical situations to illustrate how firearms laws are applied in practice.  We will also offer participants a useful analytical structure that can be applied to analyzing many of the firearms issues on which counsel might be asked to advise their clients.
