Legal Update – North Carolina Healthcare Financial Management Association

On April 11, 2019, Joy Heath and Anderson Shackelford presented a legal update at the North Carolina Healthcare Financial Management Association’s Healthcare Auditing and Accounting conference. They spoke about the nexus between auditing/accounting with the North Carolina Certificate of Need (CON) Law, provided an update on Medicaid reform/bid challenges, summarized recent case law and described the hallmarks of robust compliance programs.
