Women United, a philanthropic organization that has already awarded $267,825 in grants to local non-profits serving women and children in the greater Charlottesville/Albemarle area, is hosting an important community event.
Despite the fact that women make up 50% of the workforce, the percentage of women in leadership roles and the salaries they earn have stagnated. Men have been the missing voice in the gender equality conversation, thus the next big step must include them. In order to get that conversation started in Charlottesville, Women United has put together an all-male panel of local business leaders. They will discuss their perspectives as men in a gender-unequal society and what they, as men, can do about it.
The event is FREE and open to the public. Parking and refreshments are included. Registration is required.
