Allison Cohan Adds Depth to Williams Mullen’s Litigation Practice

Williams Mullen is pleased to welcome Allison Cohan as an Associate in the firm’s Litigation and Labor & Employment practices. She represents clients in complex litigation matters in both state and federal courts, including in matters related to professional liability insurance policies, workers compensation claims and employment discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination lawsuits, among others.

Ms. Cohan also counsels clients in administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in Virginia and North Carolina and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

“Allison has a diverse background with experience in both litigation and labor and employment matters,” Carolinas Managing Partner David Paulson said. “She strengthens our already deep teams in both areas, and we are excited for her to join our firm.”

Ms. Cohan’s practice also includes the representation of businesses, health care facilities, and professionals.  She has defended companies facing class action litigation in North Carolina, and frequently appears before both state and federal judges in complex commercial litigation matters.

Ms. Cohan is a member of the Defense Research Institute’s Young Lawyers Committee, and she is a member of the Wake County Bar Association. She earned her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Wake Forest University and Bachelor of Arts degrees in political science and dance and movement studies from Emory University.
