10.26.2011 Mary Pivec Joins Labor and Employment Team at Williams Mullen Mary E. Pivec, noted labor and employment attorney, has joined Williams Mullen as a partner in the law firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

Ms. Pivec has more than 25 years of experience advising employers in a broad range of workplace and labor relations issues. She represents employers in employment and whistleblower claims, including handling investigations, hearings and appeals brought under the False Claims Act, the Sarbanes Oxley Act, the Consumer Product Safety Act, the FDA Food and Drug Modernization Action, the Surface Transportation Assistance Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act and the energy and environmental safety whistleblower statutes.
In addition, Ms. Pivec has also represented employers in civil and criminal worksite enforcement cases, I-9 compliance counseling and audits, immigration-related discrimination claims litigation and H-1B/LCA investigations and enforcement proceedings brought by the U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division.
