05.01.2009 Thomas R. Frantz Receives The College of William and Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law 2009 Citizen Lawyer Award VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Williams Mullen announces that Thomas R. Frantz, president and chief operating officer of the firm, will receive the 2009 Citizen-Lawyer award from the College of William and Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law during the commencement exercises on Sunday, May 17, 2009. The Citizen-Lawyer award is awarded by the William and Mary Law School Association to a friend or graduate of the law school that embraces the Jeffersonian principles of outstanding public and legal service.

“This is a great honor to be recognized by my alma mater for the work that I have done in the field of law” said Thomas R. Frantz. “Being an active participant in my community and in my profession has always been very important to me. I will strive to continue to uphold the values for which this award is based.”

Thomas R. Frantz is chair of the business Group at Williams Mullen. Drawing on his tax background, Mr. Frantz also maintains a corporate practice representing multi-national corporations, handling major mergers and acquisitions and advising corporations on a variety of legal matters.
