Virginia Beach, Virginia – Williams Mullen senior associate Daniel Santos* has been asked to serve as Deputy President of the Hispanic National Bar Association’s Region V (Region V encompasses DC, MD, VA and WV). In 2009, Mr. Santos was recognized by the Hispanic National Bar Association with its Top Lawyers Under Forty Award. Mr. Santos is based in the firm’s Virginia Beach office.

Dan Santos is a regulatory and corporate attorney with Williams Mullen. He has extensive experience representing insurance and health care clients on a multi-state basis and at the federal level. Mr. Santos regularly counsels health care providers in transactional and regulatory matters, including hospitals, health systems, long term care providers, physician groups, home health agencies and durable medical equipment companies, among others. He frequently interacts with federal and state health regulators on his clients' behalf regarding compliance issues, such as investigations, enforcement actions and reimbursement issues.

Mr. Santos received his J.D. in 2002 from Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law where he was a recipient of the Dean's Scholarship and the Conrad A. and Rocco C. Falvello Memorial Award. He received his B.A. from the University of Virginia.
