06.18.2018 Williams Mullen’s Pat Gottschalk Elected Chair of ChamberRVA’s Board of Directors

Williams Mullen is pleased to congratulate Pat Gottschalk on his election as chair of ChamberRVA’s Board of Directors, effective July 1. Mr. Gottschalk has served on ChamberRVA’s Board of Directors since 2011 and spent the 2017-2018 term as chair-elect.

“The Richmond region has a great deal of positive momentum right now,” Mr. Gottschalk said. “I’m eager to lead ChamberRVA’s efforts to continue that push forward and help promote this area as an excellent place to live, work and play.”

Mr. Gottschalk served as Virginia’s Secretary of Commerce and Trade under former Governor Tim Kaine from 2006-2010.  During his tenure as Secretary, Virginia was recognized as the “Top State for Business” eight times, including four consecutive times by and twice by CNBC. He joined Williams Mullen as a partner and chair of the firm’s Economic Development Team shortly after the conclusion of Governor Kaine’s term.

As chair of the Economic Development Team, Mr. Gottschalk helps companies seeking to locate or establish business operations in the mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States by helping with a myriad of legal issues, including incentive negotiations, corporate law issues and project management.
