07.01.2008 Williams Mullen Attorney Leads Hispanic National Bar Association's Efforts for National Law Journal WASHINGTON, DC – Williams Mullen announces that Jimmie V. Reyna, former president of the Hispanic National Bar Association, has launched the HNBA Journal of Law and Policy. Mr. Reyna established the journal to provide a forum for the discussion and publication of legal issues affecting the Hispanic legal profession and the U.S. Hispanic community.
The Hispanic National Bar Association’s Journal of Law and Policy is co-edited by Mr. Reyna and Mr. Benny Agosto, Jr., a partner with Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels & Friend. The first edition featured articles on youth and youth gangs, immigration, education, remittances abroad, and the Supreme Court, as well as the winning briefs in the HNBA National Moot Court Competition and the winning (High School) essay in the HNBA Foundation Law Camp. It has already received numerous accolades from the legal community and continues to grow in popularity.
During the month of December, the Hispanic National Bar Association will host launch parties in Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta and New York. Williams Mullen will host the launch party in Washington, DC.
