11.20.2008 Williams Mullen Attorney Receives Richmond Bar Association Award RICHMOND, VA – Robert E. Eicher received the 2008-2009 Hunter W. Martin Professionalism Award today at the Richmond Bar Association’s monthly luncheon meeting. The award recognizes Mr. Eicher for his dedication and commitment to professionalism within the field of law.
Robert E. Eicher joined Williams Mullen in 1965 after serving for three years in the U.S. Air Force. He focuses his practice on civil litigation in commercial, business, wills, trusts, and estate-related matters. He became a partner with the firm in 1968. Mr. Eicher has served as general counsel for Williams Mullen and chair of the firm’s conflicts and opinion letter committees. He also served on numerous standing committees for the Virginia State Bar including the committee on legal ethics and the disciplinary board.

The Hunter W. Martin Professionalism Award was established in 1993 to honor Hunter W. Martin, who served as the secretary-treasurer of the Richmond Bar Association from 1963 to 1987. It is awarded each year to a member of the association who has show dedication to professionalism.
