11.17.2008 Williams Mullen Continues to Climb "National Law Journal" 250 RICHMOND, VA – Williams Mullen announces has been moved up in ranking by the National Law Journal’s 250 listing of the nation’s largest law firms. The firm was ranked at 142 this year compared with 146 last year.

This growth can be attributed to increased demands for legal services from a diverse client base. “Williams Mullen continues to thrive, thanks to our seasoned attorneys and emphasis on providing our clients with the best representation possible,” said Williams Mullen CEO Julious P. Smith, Jr.
According to the NLJ survey, the legal industry has contracted over the course of the past year due to the global economic slowdown. The results were based on attorney census data covering the period between Oct. 1, 2007, and Sept. 30, 2008, which was provided by the nation’s 300 largest law firms.
