DURHAM, NC. — The Research Triangle Park division of law firm Williams Mullen Maupin Taylor today begins doing business from new, more spacious offices. As demand for technology-related legal counsel increases in the area, the firm has responded with plans to double its roster of attorneys serving this niche market to 20 within the next year. The law firm has leased 20,000 square feet to make room for the new attorneys and staff that will expand and enhance the intellectual property and patent litigation teams. The new location at Carlisle Place provides easier access to hotels and the airport and a more central location to Triangle entrepreneurs.
"There is a tremendous amount of entrepreneurial activity in the Triangle area. The number of patents granted to these businesses continues to boom, and our clients are keeping us busier than ever," commented, Keith Kapp, a vice president at Williams Mullen. "We are inspired daily by their energy and enthusiasm. Larger, more conveniently located offices allow us to better serve these clients and to better serve the Durham business community as a whole."
Carlisle Place is located in The Imperial Center, a 456-acre campus near the I-40 corridor and close to the Research Triangle Park. The Imperial Center is a multi-use office park with several new high-profile projects currently under construction. The building is owned by Principal Financial Group and is managed by Tri Properties. Williams Mullen Maupin Taylor will be one of the first tenants to occupy the building.
