Williams Mullen Partner William L. Stauffer, Jr. Elected President-Elect of Newport News Bar Association

Williams Mullen announced today that partner William L. “Bill” Stauffer, Jr. has been elected President-Elect of the Newport News Bar Association for the 2013-2014 term. He has served on the Association's board of directors since 2011 and as the Association’s treasurer for the 2012-2013 term.

The Newport News Bar Association (NNBA) is a voluntary, non-profit, and non-partisan organization composed of attorneys whose law offices or residences are located in Newport News; judges, active and retired, who serve or have served on one of the Courts in Newport News; and associate members who are licensed by the Virginia State Bar, but do not maintain an office or live in Newport News. Over the years, NNBA has grown to a membership of over 200 people.

Bill Stauffer focuses his practice on complex business trials, including representation of the developer/homebuilder, financial institution and manufacturing industries. Mr. Stauffer has more than 35 years of experience litigating matters in state and federal courts, primarily in the mid-Atlantic region. He also represents businesses and individuals in matters involving insurance coverage, dissolution and receiverships, injunctions, restrictive covenants, trade secrets and protection of proprietary rights.
