05.14.2009 Williams Mullen Receives ‘Outstanding Law Firm for 2009’ Award from LINC RICHMOND, Va. – Williams Mullen announces that it has received the Outstanding Law Firm Award for 2009 from the Legal Information Network for Cancer (LINC). LINC is a nonprofit organization which provides information, counseling and a referral service for legal and financial assistance to individuals who are battling cancer. The award recognizes the firm for all of the pro bono work it does for the individuals who turn to LINC for assistance. Williams Mullen attorneys provide a variety of legal services to LINC and the individuals who turn to LINC for assistance. These services include employment issues, estate planning, and insurance advice.

James V. Meath, vice-chairman of the firm, accepted the award at a luncheon on May 14, 2009 at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond, Virginia. “I am honored to accept this award on behalf of Williams Mullen,” said Mr. Meath. “LINC is an organization that is dedicated to linking people with resources that cause the day to day challenges of cancer to be more manageable. Williams Mullen is proud to support the organization and all of the patients it serves.”

Williams Mullen is committed to assisting its communities through pro bono service. Our attorneys work with organizations such as the Virginia Poverty Law Center, the Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce and Wills for Heroes. The firm also acts as pro bono general counsel to Habitat for Humanity.
