04.18.2018 Williams Mullen Welcomes Intellectual Property Associate Janet Smith

Williams Mullen is pleased to welcome Janet Smith to the firm as an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property practice. Ms. Smith represents clients in a broad range of intellectual property matters, including patent, trademark and copyright infringement litigation at the administrative, trial and appellate levels.

“We’re excited to welcome Janet to the team,” Intellectual Property practice chair Rob Van Arnam said. “She joins a great group of intellectual property litigators in our firm who help clients across the country defend and enforce their IP portfolios.”

Ms. Smith also helps clients enhance the value of their intellectual property assets through the procurement, assessment, registration and management of trademark and patent portfolios.

She earned her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from William & Mary, where she was a lead articles editor for the William & Mary Law Review. Ms. Smith also received a MSc. in Violence, Conflict & Development from SOAS, University of London and a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Dartmouth College.
