Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Edward S. Schenk III has joined the firm as a Partner in the Labor and Employment section. He will be working out of the Raleigh office.
Mr. Schenk is experienced in representing employers in inquiries and investigations arising from Title VII, age and disability discrimination, retaliation, fair labor standards, family medical leave and a variety of North Carolina employment laws. He drafts, reviews and litigates employment contracts and restrictive covenants, including non-competition, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements. Edward acts as outside general counsel to a number of North Carolina and Southeastern regional companies, including one of North Carolina’s largest privately owned medical transportation providers.
As a litigator, Mr. Schenk has represented his clients in state courts across North Carolina, all Federal District Courts in North Carolina, the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of North Carolina. Prior to dedicating his practice to employment law, he litigated disputes over professional negligence, errors and omissions, unfair and deceptive trade practices, serious industrial accidents, wrongful death, and construction defects.

He was also named to the “Young Guns (Best Under 40)” listing in the 2013 edition of Business North Carolina magazine’s “Legal Elite” ranking.
