On Sept. 29, Edward Schenk presented on "Managing Complex Leaves of Absence: Navigating the Intersection of FMLA, ADA & Workers’ Compensation Leave" at the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys' (NCADA) Fall Seminar. The presentation covered issues spotting and evaluating the layered obligations employers may have with respect the FMLA, the ADA and workers' compensation laws. Hot topics included employer "maximum leave" policies and extended job protected leave as a reasonable accomodation under the ADA.
